MAKE THE BLIND SEE AGAIN

Seble Yeman from Ethiopia is seven years old. She blinks with a cautious smile into an unforeseen newhttp://www.viennanightrun.at/media/image/w480/2290.jpg world. A cataract surgery saved her eyesight. Donations from Austria via the aid organisation “Light for the World“ made a surgery possible for the child, since she comes from very poor circumstances. A typical cataract surgery provided by aid organisations such as “Light for the World” only costs 30 Euros and makes blind people definitely see again. To see means to have orientation, eyes are the keys to many areas of the world. In Ethiopia eyes are essential for surviving: According to statistics of the World Health Organisation (WHO) 2/3 of all children die within 2 years after becoming blind.  Affected are thousands. “Light for the World” puts a spoke through the Statistics, wherever help is possible.
